Ksamil beach clubs compared (Albania): prices

Five Ksamil beach clubs compared with their approximate prices, from the cheapest to the floating cabanas, and when to book.

Ksamil has several beach clubs and they're not all for the same kind of trip. The level, the atmosphere and above all the price vary a lot. This is the comparison we made, with the approximate prices we used when preparing the route.

How they work

You pay an entrance or consumption ticket that usually includes the lounger and umbrella, and that amount is then deducted from what you spend on food and drinks. Prices are approximate and change each season, so confirm them before you go.

Jetty over turquoise water, Ksamil
The water in Ksamil is the reason these places fill up.

The five, from cheapest to most exclusive

Bora Bora Beach. The most traditional and affordable alternative. Loungers and umbrellas from €15 to €30 for two people.

Orange Beach Club. The best value for money, with a lively atmosphere. Umbrellas on the sand are €27, the rest €22. They can't be reserved, so you have to go in the morning. Cabanas are €110 (they include a fruit plate), poolside loungers are €55 (access with one consumption) and poolside cushions have a minimum spend of €50 per person.

Veranda by Apollonia. The most balanced between beach, pool and atmosphere, and our general recommendation. Loungers from €30 for two people, with food and drinks extra.

Poda Beach. Beds over the water and spectacular views, for a more exclusive experience. Standard beds are €40 to €50 for two, and premium spots over the water go up to €150.

Principotes Ksamil. Premium areas by the sea and floating cabanas. Loungers from €20 per person up to €50 depending on the row, and floating cabanas between €200 and €400, which include prosecco, fruit salad and towels, with no additional minimum spend.

And in Sarande

If you'd like something less crowded than Ksamil in peak season, Sarande has Mango Beach and Beach of Mirrors, with the same entrance or consumption ticket system.

When to book

In July and August it's worth booking ahead, because the best spots fill up early. At other times of year, arriving early is usually enough. Many beach clubs and snack bars don't accept cards or charge a fee if you pay with one, so carry cash.

If you want peace without paying for a club, Monastery Beach is quieter and less crowded.

Our recommendation

For the full day with everything, Veranda by Apollonia. To spend little, Bora Bora Beach. For a special occasion, Principotes' floating cabanas. We break down the whole route's budget in how much it costs to travel to Albania, and the full plan is in our 7-day Albania itinerary.
