Perfect if you're looking for:
Planning a trip to Croatia can take hours spent looking up ferries, island routes and which areas to choose. This itinerary brings it all together in one document so you don't waste time and avoid the usual mistakes, like picking the wrong ferries or staying in an inconvenient area. All you have to do here is enjoy it.
Includes:
Scroll and watch the route draw itself, stop by stop.
Open the sample PDF: the cover, the index and an example day, to see the level of detail before you decide.
Recommended area: Old Town or Ploče.
Goal for the day: settle in and get your first taste of the city.
Arrival in the morning or around midday. Airport → city transfer (20–30 min by car). Check in at your accommodation.
Tip: If you arrive early, drop your bags and head straight out — it's not worth wasting daylight hours resting in the room.
Entering through Pile Gate, the main entrance to the medieval city. Dubrovnik was a very powerful independent republic between the 14th and 19th centuries, rivaling Venice.
Recommended walking route: the main street Stradun (shiny marble floor, the center of social life), Onofrio's Fountain, the Franciscan Monastery (with one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe), Luža Square, the Bell Tower and the Rector's Palace. Elegant, historic, very photogenic atmosphere, a mix of luxury and tourism.
A relaxed dinner inside the old town, an evening stroll and a drink at a bar with a view. Dubrovnik at night is far more magical than by day, once the crowds thin out and the stone takes on a different color under the streetlights.
Recommended restaurants:
The whole day is done on foot. Key tips: wear comfortable shoes and avoid the restaurants right on Stradun's tourist strip, where you pay more for the view than for the food.
First day down. You're still getting a feel for the city, but you can already tell Dubrovnik isn't just another city: it's a real-life set that's been standing for eight hundred years.
