Best time to visit Albania for beaches and beach clubs
Albania has a very clear beach season. When it's hottest, when it's cheapest and when the beach clubs close.
Albania is a Mediterranean destination with a clear beach season. If your plan is Ksamil's turquoise water and the beach clubs, the month you choose shapes the trip a lot.
June to August: high season
The sea is calm, it's very hot, between 30 and 35 °C, and the beach clubs are at full atmosphere. It's also when prices for flights, cars and lodging rise the most. In July and August rental cars sell out in Tirana, so book ahead, and it's worth reserving your lounger in Ksamil too.

May, September and early October: shoulder season
This is the best balance of quality, price and crowds. The sea is still warm, there's less crowding on Ksamil's beaches and flight and hotel prices are better. It's the time we recommend most.
November to April: low season
It isn't the best time for a beach itinerary. Many beach clubs and snack shacks on the coast close outside the season.
The sun on the Albanian Riviera is very strong, especially on the Ksamil islands. Bring good sun protection.
Our recommendation
May, September or early October to balance sea, price and calm. If you can only go in July or August, book the car, the lounger and the boat trip in advance. You'll find the plan in our 7-day Albania itinerary, and the club prices in Ksamil beach clubs compared.
